Version 2.2.1 (Current Release)

Overview

We’ve made the site clearer for everyone: you can see at a glance who Pragmatic UX is for and what problems it addresses. The Decision Helper uses concrete, everyday wording so it’s easy to use even if you’re not from a UX background.

What’s New

Homepage: Who It’s For & What We Address

  • New section right below the main intro: two cards – “Who is it for?” (e.g. UX designers, product managers, teams) and “What problems do we address?” (e.g. UX seen as a bottleneck, little time/budget, unclear which methods to use).
  • Short line under the main description, e.g.: “For UX designers, product managers and teams who want to increase UX impact without rigid processes.”

    • Decision Helper: Clearer, More Concrete Wording

  • Challenge question: Options now use concrete situations, e.g. “Negative feedback, bad ratings or many support requests”, “Decisions need to be made quickly (tight deadlines, pressure)”, or “Lots of changes, but no visible progress”.
  • Time and budget: Simple options like “Too little time, tight budget” and “Enough time and budget” so anyone can answer quickly.

    Overview

    Version 2.2 brings multilingual support and a downloadable PDF poster, making the Pragmatic UX Design framework accessible to a wider audience and easier to share.

  • German and English: The entire website is now available in both languages
  • Automatic Language Detection: Your browser language preference is automatically detected
  • Easy Language Switching: Change language anytime via the menu in the header
  • Fully Translated Content: All principles, methods, books, Decision Helper questions, and navigation are translated

    Overview

    Version 2.0 brings major enhancements to the Pragmatic UX Design framework website, including a comprehensive Methods Overview, enhanced Decision Helper with project phase awareness, and significant UI/UX improvements with modern glassmorphism design.

  • Methods page: Browse all 51 UX methods by category (Research, Design, Testing, Implementation, Strategy, Optimization).
  • Click any method to see detailed instructions, steps, and tips, plus a way to get in touch for support.

    • Decision Helper

  • Project phase question: You can now say whether you’re at project start, in the middle of development, or near release.
  • Recommendations are tailored to your phase and other answers.

    • Design & Usability

  • Updated look: Clearer cards and layout, consistent across methods and books.
  • Mobile: Better use on phones and tablets.
  • More methods: Including Design Studio, Analytics Audit, Conversion Funnel Analysis, User Segmentation Analysis; “Field Studies” is now “Contextual Inquiry”.
